Spawn The Eternal – PS1 Game

A third-person action game for the PlayStation built around Todd McFarlane’s Spawn comics. You control Spawn through 3D environments, working through enemies with melee strikes, ranged weapons and supernatural abilities tied to the character, including use of his cape. Play involves moving through the stages, dealing with groups of foes and demonic creatures, and reaching objectives while managing Spawn’s resources and health. The visual style follows the comic’s dark tone, with gloomy urban and hellish settings and cutscenes carrying the story between missions. Camera and combat are typical of early 3D console action titles, with lock-on style targeting to keep enemies in view. If you know the character from the comics or the animated series, this is a straightforward action interpretation of that material on Sony’s first console.
