The Dreamcast release of the 3D Spider-Man action game that also appeared on other consoles of the era. You play as Spider-Man across a sequence of mission-based levels, crawling walls and ceilings, swinging between web anchor points, and combining melee combos with web attacks that trap enemies, pull objects, or create a shield. Web fluid is a limited resource replenished by pickups. Missions include chases, timed escapes, rescues, and boss fights against villains drawn from the Marvel comics, with Stan Lee narrating story segments and comic-style cutscenes linking the stages. Hidden comic books can be found within levels to unlock artwork and alternate costumes, several of which alter Spider-Man’s abilities. The Dreamcast version runs at a higher display resolution than the earlier PlayStation release.
