Spyro the Dragon – PS1 Game

Spyro the Dragon is a 3D platformer for the PlayStation in which you control a small purple dragon exploring open, connected worlds. Spyro’s core moves are charging with his horns, gliding from high ledges, and breathing fire, which you use to free fellow dragons trapped in crystal, defeat enemies, and collect scattered gems. Sparx the dragonfly follows Spyro and acts as your health meter, changing colour as you take damage and helping to pick up gems. Levels are grouped into hub worlds linked by portals, and each hub also contains a flight stage where you race to hit targets within a time limit. Collecting enough dragons, gems, and stolen dragon eggs opens up later areas and confrontations with the game’s antagonist.
