Still Life – Xbox Game

Still Life is a point-and-click style adventure game presented in 3D on the original Xbox. You play as an FBI agent investigating a series of murders in wintry Chicago, and in flashback sequences you also control her grandfather, a private detective working a strikingly similar case in Prague decades earlier. The two timelines alternate, and clues uncovered in one shed light on the other. Play involves exploring crime scenes and locations, examining and collecting objects, talking with characters, and solving inventory and logic puzzles that gate progress in the investigation. The story is told through cutscenes and dialogue, with a dark tone and a strong emphasis on atmosphere and detective work. It is a slow-paced, narrative-driven game rather than an action title.
