Streets of Rage – Sega Genesis Game

Streets of Rage is a side-scrolling beat ’em up for the Sega Genesis. A city has fallen under the control of a criminal syndicate, and three former police officers, Axel, Blaze and Adam, quit the force to take it apart by hand. You move through streets, beaches, bridges and other urban stages, punching, throwing and kicking waves of thugs, and picking up pipes, bottles and knives dropped along the way. Each character handles differently in speed, reach and power. When you are surrounded, a call brings in offscreen support fire that clears the screen, though the number of calls is limited. Boss fights close out each stage. Two players can play together cooperatively, and the game features a synth-driven soundtrack.
