Strider – Sega Master System Game

Strider on the Sega Master System is an 8-bit conversion of Capcom’s arcade action game. You play as Hiryu, cutting through enemies at close range with the Cypher, a plasma blade. The game is a side-scrolling action platformer in which Hiryu runs, jumps, slides and climbs along walls and ceilings, working through stages set in different parts of the world and facing a boss at the end of major sections. Enemies arrive in groups and often from above or behind, so movement matters as much as attacking. The Master System version scales the arcade presentation down to the hardware, with simplified graphics and sound compared to the original coin-op, while keeping the acrobatic moveset and stage-based structure.
