Summer Challenge – Sega Genesis Game

Summer Challenge is a multi-event sports game for the Sega Genesis built around warm-weather athletic competitions. You represent a country and compete across a series of individual events, each with its own control scheme to learn, ranging from track and field style contests to equestrian and other outdoor disciplines. Events are typically short, score- or time-based challenges where timing your inputs and building rhythm matter more than complex strategy, and practice modes let you work on individual events before entering a full competition. Results are tallied against computer opponents or other players taking turns, with medals awarded across the programme. The presentation uses polygonal and sprite-based athletes with camera angles chosen to suit each event.
