Super R-Type – Super Nintendo

Super R-Type is a Super Nintendo shoot ’em up from Irem set in the R-Type sci-fi universe. The game centers on high-speed side-scrolling space combat against the returning BYDO Empire and its mutant extra-terrestrial forces.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Side-scrolling shooter gameplay emphasizes precision movement, enemy pattern recognition, and quick reactions.
• The revolutionary R-9 fighter serves as Earth’s last line of defense against a new BYDO attack.
• Stages feature space battles, mechanical hazards, and large alien threats built around Super NES-era graphics.
• The challenge focuses on survival through dense enemy formations and carefully timed attacks.

Part of the R-Type series, this SNES entry brings the franchise’s arcade-style horizontal shooting to Nintendo’s 16-bit console. Its BYDO Empire storyline connects directly to the recurring conflict that defines the series.
