Superman Returns – PS2 Game

Superman Returns is a third-person action game tied to the Superman film of the same name. You control Superman in an open version of Metropolis, flying freely between skyscrapers and dropping down to street level to deal with threats as they appear. Movement is built around sustained flight and super-speed rather than walking, and Superman’s powers include heat vision, freeze breath and the strength to lift and throw large objects and vehicles. A defining idea is that damage is measured against the city rather than the hero: keeping Metropolis and its citizens intact matters, so fights encourage steering enemies away from buildings and crowds. Missions mix scripted encounters against super-powered foes with ongoing emergencies such as fires, crime and structural collapses scattered around the map.
