Swashbucklers – PS2 Game

Swashbucklers is a seafaring action game for the PlayStation 2 that splits its time between ship battles and combat on foot. At sea, you steer your vessel, manage cannon fire and take on rival ships, with the option to board and fight hand to hand. On land, you explore ports and settlements, talk to characters, take on jobs and duel with swords in third-person melee. Progress involves improving your ship and equipment as you work through the story and the tasks offered along the way. The Caribbean setting mixes piracy with the naval conflicts of the era, giving you a mix of open-water sailing, trading opportunities and close-quarters brawling. It is aimed at players who like pirate fiction and want both the ship-to-ship and the cutlass side of it.
