Syphon Filter

A third-person stealth-action game for the PlayStation Portable starring Gabe Logan. You work through a story campaign of infiltration missions, using cover to peek and shoot around corners, silenced weapons and the series’ taser for close-quarters takedowns. Levels mix indoor infiltration with vehicle sequences and underwater swimming and combat sections, and the game makes use of the PSP’s face buttons for aiming and context actions in place of a second analog stick. Enemies can be interrogated, and objectives frequently shift as scenes play out. Between missions the plot follows Logan’s investigation alongside his agency colleagues. The game also includes multiplayer modes played over the PSP’s wireless connection, with several competitive match types across mission-based maps.
