Tak and the Power of JuJu – Gamecube Game

Tak and the Power of Juju introduces Tak, a young shaman apprentice in a jungle-dwelling tribe who is called on to undo a curse that has fallen on his people. The GameCube release is a 3D action platformer: you run, jump, climb and swim through tropical environments, fight animal and spirit enemies, and collect items scattered throughout the levels. Juju magic gives Tak special abilities, and at points he can take control of animals to reach places he otherwise cannot. Puzzles built into the terrain slow the pace between combat encounters, and boss fights close out major sections. The presentation leans on colorful cartoon character designs and comedic dialogue. This is the first game in the Tak series, played solo from a third-person view.
