Tales of the Abyss – PS2 Game

Tales of the Abyss is a role-playing game starring Luke fon Fabre, a sheltered noble whose sudden displacement from home sends him across the world of Auldrant. The story deals with prophecy, replicas, and the fonon energy that underpins the setting, and it develops the party through cutscenes and optional skits. Combat runs in real time using a battle system that lets you move freely around the field rather than sticking to a single line, closing distance, guarding, and chaining strikes into artes while managing a gauge that limits how much you can do in one go. Your allies fight under AI strategies you can adjust, and a second player can take control of a party member. Between fights you explore towns, dungeons, and a world map.
