Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – NES Game

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES combines overhead exploration with side-scrolling action stages. You move around an overhead map of the city, entering manholes and buildings that drop you into platforming levels filled with Foot Soldiers, mousers and traps. All four turtles are available, and you switch between them at any time; each has his own weapon with different range and each has a separate health bar, so losing one turtle means the others must carry on. Captured turtles can be rescued by reaching them in later stages. Weapon pickups such as shuriken and boomerangs give you ranged options, and the game includes an underwater section where you disarm bombs against a timer. Boss fights against characters from the series close out the major areas.
