Test Drive – Xbox Game

Test Drive on the original Xbox is an arcade street racing game built around licensed production cars and motorcycles. Races run on closed-off routes through city environments, with traffic to weave through and rival drivers who are happy to lean on you. A career structure strings events together, with money and reputation earned from races going toward new vehicles and upgrades. Police pursuit is part of the experience, adding pressure during and after events. Handling is tuned toward speed and drifting rather than simulation, and the sense of pace comes from tight streets, oncoming vehicles and shortcuts. A licensed soundtrack plays over the action. Modes cover single races and the career progression, with vehicles unlocking as you advance.
