The Addams Family – Sega Genesis Game

The Addams Family is a side-scrolling platformer based on the Addams family property. You control Gomez as he explores the family mansion and its grounds searching for the missing members of his household. The mansion works as a hub: doors and passages lead to themed areas such as a freezer, a conservatory, and the attic, and you can tackle many of them in the order you like. Gomez attacks mainly by jumping on enemies, and power-ups let him throw items and take extra hits. Each major area ends with a boss guarding one of the captured relatives. Hidden rooms hold extra lives and health, so exploring off the obvious path is often worthwhile. The Genesis version features cartoon-styled sprites and music drawn from the property’s familiar theme.
