The Cat in the Hat – PS1 Game

The Cat in the Hat for PlayStation is a platformer tied to the Dr. Seuss story and its live-action film version. The setup follows the book’s premise: the Cat arrives at a house while the children’s mother is out, chaos spreads through the rooms, and the mess needs to be sorted before she gets home. You navigate stages built around the house and stranger spaces beyond it, jumping across platforms, dodging hazards, and gathering items as you go. The art style draws on Seuss-inspired shapes and bright colors, with warped rooms and exaggerated objects. Controls stay simple, centered on movement, jumping, and a few contextual actions, with a difficulty level aimed at younger players. Sessions are broken into distinct stages rather than one continuous world.
