The King of Fighters ’95 is a 2D fighting game in SNK’s team-based series, brought to the Sega Saturn. Instead of single-character matches, you assemble a team of three fighters and battle rival teams one member at a time, with the winner of each round carrying over damage to the next opponent. This entry lets you build custom teams by picking characters freely rather than using only the preset lineups. The roster draws on SNK’s fighting game characters, including faces familiar from Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting alongside the series’ own cast. Play uses four buttons for light and heavy punches and kicks, with special moves performed via joystick motions, plus a power gauge that charges to enable desperation moves. Matches take place on hand-drawn 2D backgrounds.
