The Lost Vikings is a puzzle-platformer in which you control three Viking characters as a group. Erik can run, jump and headbutt through walls; Baleog carries a sword and a bow for attacking enemies at range; and Olaf holds a shield that blocks attacks, deflects projectiles and can be used as a platform or a glider. You switch between the three at any time, and all three must reach the exit for a stage to be completed, so progress depends on combining their abilities rather than reflexes alone. Each Viking has a separate health bar and can carry items in a shared inventory. Levels take place across varied settings, with switches, hazards and enemies arranged as puzzles. This Genesis release brings the game to Sega’s 16-bit console.
