The Simpsons: Hit & Run puts you in an open version of Springfield that you explore both on foot and by car. The game is split into chapters, each starring a different family member or friend of the family: Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu. Missions range from timed deliveries and races to chasing down or discreetly following other drivers, and between them you are free to roam, smash crates for coins, and buy new cars and costumes from characters around town. An overarching story about odd goings-on in Springfield connects the chapters, with voice work from the show’s cast. Collector cards, wasp cameras and street races are dotted around each area for players who want to explore beyond the main missions. Cars handle loosely and take visible damage as you drive.
