The Sims 2

The Sims 2: Pets brings the life simulation series to GameCube with a focus on animals. You create Sims and household pets, choosing from cats and dogs and adjusting their appearance and temperament, then manage daily life in a home you furnish and expand. Pets have their own needs and personalities, and they can be trained to obey commands and perform tricks, or left to develop bad habits like digging and clawing furniture. As with other console entries in the series, the game is built around directed objectives rather than the open-ended sandbox of the PC version, with tasks to complete that unlock new items and locations. You still balance the usual Sim concerns of hunger, hygiene, fun and social needs while keeping the animals in the household happy.
