The Suffering – Xbox Game

The Suffering is a third-person horror action game, here on Xbox. You control Torque, an inmate delivered to a prison on Carnate Island who is freed by an earthquake and finds the facility swarming with creatures shaped by the island’s history of executions. Combat mixes firearms with melee attacks, and you scavenge ammunition, health and flashlight batteries while working through cell blocks, sewers, quarries and shorelines. Torque can shift into a monstrous form for a short time, dealing heavy damage at the cost of precise control. How you treat the other survivors you meet feeds a morality system that changes story sequences and determines which ending you see. The narrative unfolds through flashbacks and hallucinations that gradually reveal what happened to Torque’s wife and children.
