The Thing – PlayStation 2

The Thing is a horror action game for PlayStation 2 set in the frozen wastelands of Antarctica. The game centers on a military rescue team investigating an American scientific outpost destroyed by a shape-shifting alien life form.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. The disc play surface is in nice condition.
• Squad-based survival horror gameplay focuses on keeping teammates alive while managing fear, trust, and infection paranoia.
• Explosives and flamethrowers play a major role in fighting creatures vulnerable to fire.
• Levels allow multiple paths for solving objectives and moving through the outpost.
• Environmental effects emphasize the harsh Antarctic setting and unstable survival conditions.
• The soundtrack includes “After Me” by Saliva.

Its trust and fear systems give the squad dynamic a specific mechanical role beyond standard action-horror combat. The Antarctica setting directly frames the game’s isolation, weather hazards, and infection-driven tension.
