Tomb Raider: The Prophecy is a Game Boy Advance adventure starring Lara Croft, presented from an isometric viewpoint. You guide Lara through tombs, ruins and underground complexes, jumping between platforms, pushing blocks, pulling levers and avoiding traps such as spikes and collapsing floors. Progress leans heavily on puzzle solving: routes open only once you have found the right key item, triggered a mechanism or worked out the order in which switches must be used. Lara can also fight the creatures and enemies that guard the ruins, and items collected along the way are managed through an inventory. The angled perspective changes how platforming works compared with the console games, since judging depth and alignment is part of the challenge in each area.
