Tony Hawk 3 – Gameboy Color Game

This Game Boy Color release adapts Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 to a handheld format, using a scaled-down 2D presentation rather than the 3D engine of the console versions. You skate through levels performing ollies, grinds, flips and grabs, chaining them into combos for points while working through goal lists that include score targets, collecting letters, and completing stage-specific tasks to open new areas. A roster of professional skaters is available to choose from, and earned points can be put toward improving your skater’s abilities. Runs are timed, so the emphasis is on learning each level’s layout and finding routes that keep a combo going. Multiplayer support is handled through the system’s link cable.
