Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 on Nintendo 64 keeps the series’ structure of timed runs through open skating levels. Each stage in career mode has a goal list covering score targets, the S-K-A-T-E letters, and various tasks tied to the environment, and clearing them opens later locations. Combos are built by linking grinds, grabs, flip tricks and lip tricks, with manuals and the revert used to carry a chain from one obstacle to the next without touching down. You can skate as one of a group of licensed professionals or create your own character, then spend earned points on stats and additional tricks. A park editor for building custom layouts and local multiplayer modes are also included.
