Top Spin – PS2 Game

Top Spin is a tennis game built around a risk-and-reward shot system. Holding a shot button longer builds power and places the ball closer to the lines, but mistiming the release sends it long or into the net, so rallies become a question of how much you are willing to gamble on each swing. You can play quick exhibition matches on different court surfaces or work through a career mode, creating a player and improving attributes as you win matches and move up the rankings. Doubles and multiplayer matches are supported. Court surface affects ball speed and bounce, so baseline grinding and serve-and-volley approaches suit different venues. Player animation and stamina factor into how well you recover position during long points.
