Toy Story is a Super Nintendo platformer based on Disney’s animated film. The game uses 3-D styled visuals, large character sprites, and animation from Pixar to bring Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, and other toy-room hazards into side-scrolling action.
- Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
- Platforming gameplay sends Woody through toy-filled stages with obstacles, enemies, and movie-themed set pieces.
- Ride Rex through a crowd of hostile toys in a sequence built around the dinosaur’s rampaging movement.
- Buzz Lightyear appears in action scenes, including karate-chop attacks against mutant toys.
- Arcade-style challenges include squeeze-toy aliens, the evil Claw, and the danger of becoming dog food.
- The Super Nintendo release was promoted as a 32-meg game with sharper-than-life 3-D presentation.
This version ties the Toy Story film license to 16-bit platforming, using specific scenes and characters from Andy’s room as gameplay material. Its Pixar animation elements make it distinct from many other licensed Super Nintendo movie games of the era.
