Virtua Tennis – Sega Dreamcast Game

Virtua Tennis is Sega’s arcade tennis game brought to the Dreamcast. Play is built around simple controls: one button for a flat shot, another for lob or slice, with timing and positioning determining power and placement. Rallies are quick and the camera sits behind the court for clear depth judgement. Alongside straightforward exhibition matches and tournaments, the console release adds a World Tour mode in which you travel between events, earn rankings and take on training challenges. Those challenges are presented as minigames that isolate specific skills, such as hitting targets or returning under pressure. Singles and doubles are both supported, and matches can be played against the computer or a second player. Real professional players of the era are included as selectable characters.
