This PlayStation 2 version of Wheel of Fortune brings the televised word puzzle game to the console. You take a contestant’s podium and alternate turns with two rivals, spinning the wheel for a cash value, guessing consonants, purchasing vowels and attempting to solve the phrase on the board. Wedges such as Bankrupt and Lose a Turn punish greedy spins, while high values reward players willing to keep going. Round winners move on to a final puzzle where only a handful of letters are given and the clock is short. Puzzles are sorted into the show’s familiar categories, and the presentation follows the format of the broadcast, from the letter board to the round structure. You can play against the computer or pass the controller between friends.
