Wings of War – Xbox Game

Wings of War for the original Xbox is an aerial combat game set during the First World War. You fly early biplanes and triplanes through mission-based sorties, taking on tasks such as dogfighting enemy scouts, escorting friendly aircraft, attacking ground targets and trench positions, and bringing down observation balloons. Controls are arcade-leaning rather than a strict simulation, with accessible flight handling, machine guns that can jam or overheat, and objectives that shift as a mission unfolds. Missions are strung together into a campaign that moves across the Western Front, with briefings framing each sortie. Some aircraft carry a gunner position, adding a defensive element to the flying. Presentation emphasises period aircraft, muddy battlefields and low-altitude flying over the lines.
