Winter Olympics – Sega Master System Game

Winter Olympics is a multi-event sports game for the Sega Master System, based on the Winter Games programme. You pick a competing nation and take part in a series of cold-weather disciplines, including downhill and slalom skiing, ski jumping, speed skating and sled events. Each event is a short, self-contained challenge with its own control scheme, most relying on repeated button presses to build speed and precise timing for turns, takeoffs and landings. Results are scored against opponents and recorded times, with medals awarded across the programme. You can practise individual events before committing to a full competition run, and players can take turns to compare results. Presentation is simple, with side-on and behind-the-athlete views and national flags and ceremony screens between events.
