XIII – Gamecube Game

XIII is a first-person shooter adapted from the Belgian comic series of the same name. You play as a man who wakes with no memory of who he is, marked only by a tattoo of the Roman numeral XIII, and you work to uncover your identity while caught up in a conspiracy surrounding the assassination of the President of the United States. The presentation borrows heavily from comics: cel-shaded artwork with heavy outlines, onomatopoeia like “BAM” drawn over impacts, and panel insets that show enemies reacting or spotting you. Gameplay mixes gunfights with stealth, letting you take out guards quietly, grab human shields, and improvise with objects found in the environment. The GameCube release also includes multiplayer modes for competitive play.
