Anticipation – NES Game

Anticipation is a drawing-guessing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Play is structured like a board game: you roll a die to move around a track of coloured spaces, and landing on a space triggers a puzzle. A picture is then drawn on screen one line at a time, and players race to identify the object before the drawing finishes, typing or selecting an answer as quickly as possible. Guessing correctly earns you a piece toward completing your set, while wrong answers cost you the round. Puzzles are grouped into categories, and difficulty settings change how fast the lines appear and how much of the image you see before answering. It supports several players taking part at once, and computer opponents can fill empty slots for solo play.
