Barbie Game Girl – Gameboy Game

Barbie Game Girl is a side-scrolling game for the original Game Boy, played in the handheld’s monochrome green display. You guide Barbie through a series of stages, moving and jumping across platforms while avoiding obstacles and collecting items on the way to the end of each area. The design is straightforward, built around timing your jumps and learning short stage layouts rather than combat, and the difficulty is set for younger or newer players. Everyday settings and fashion themes appear throughout, in line with the Barbie licence, and short between-stage screens mark your progress. Controls are limited to the D-pad and two buttons, making it easy to pick up quickly. The cartridge also runs on Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance hardware.
