Amazing Spiderman – Gameboy Game

The Amazing Spider-Man is a side-scrolling action game for the Game Boy in which you play as Spider-Man on a rescue mission after Mary Jane is taken by the Kingpin’s forces. Stages are built around platforming and combat: you punch and kick enemies, cling to walls and ceilings, and use webbing to cross gaps and deal with hazards. Each level runs through a themed area before ending in a fight against a familiar Marvel adversary, with patterns to learn rather than raw firepower to rely on. Presentation is monochrome sprite work with a compact interface tracking your health and web resources. Play is linear, so progress comes from working out each stage’s layout and each boss’s behaviour.
