Batman the Video Game – Gameboy Game

A side-scrolling action platformer for the original Game Boy, presented in the handheld’s monochrome palette. You control Batman through a series of stages built from ledges, pits and hazards, punching enemies at close range and throwing ranged weapons at targets that are harder to approach. Levels move through urban and industrial environments and close with boss fights against larger opponents. Movement is deliberate rather than acrobatic, with careful jumps and enemy patterns that need to be learned, and health and limited resources make survival part of the challenge. It is a compact, level-based take on the character, closer to a traditional Game Boy action game than to a story-driven adventure, and it plays on Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance hardware as well.
