BeetleJuice – NES Game

Beetlejuice for the NES is a side-scrolling action platformer drawn from the film license. You control Beetlejuice himself, working through a series of stages populated by insects, ghosts, and other creatures. Rather than a conventional weapon, Beetlejuice attacks largely by picking up and throwing objects found in the environment, and he can also stomp or strike enemies at close range. Levels move through haunted house interiors and other locations connected to the license, with doors and passages to find as you progress. Collecting items builds up resources used along the way, and enemies respawn steadily, so movement and positioning matter. The game is single-player, and its presentation leans on the film’s characters and macabre visual style within the limits of NES hardware.
