Bram Stoker’s Dracula – NES Game

Bram Stoker’s Dracula on the Nintendo Entertainment System is a side-scrolling action game tied to the film adaptation of Stoker’s novel. You move left to right through gothic environments, striking at bats, wolves, rats and other servants of the undead while working toward a confrontation with Dracula himself. Your character attacks at close range and can pick up items along the way, and stages are laid out with pits, platforms and enemies that respawn if you backtrack. Limited health and lives mean careful movement matters more than rushing forward. Brief story text frames the journey between stages, following the pursuit of the count across the settings the film uses. It is a straightforward licensed platform-action game built around learning enemy patterns and stage layouts.
