Cabal – NES Game

A conversion of the Cabal arcade shooter for the Nintendo Entertainment System. You control a soldier at the bottom of the screen, viewed from behind, firing into a single-screen battlefield of enemy troops, vehicles and fortifications. Your character moves left and right and can dive to dodge incoming fire while a crosshair aims independently, so positioning and shooting are handled separately. Almost everything in the environment can be shot apart, including walls, bunkers and structures, and clearing all enemies advances you to the next stage. Grenades and weapon pick-ups such as a machine gun and shotgun appear during play, and stages end with larger armoured targets. The game is grouped into areas with multiple screens each, and two players can play in alternating turns.
