Castlevania III Dracula’s Curse – NES Game

An NES entry set before the original game, casting you as Trevor Belmont on a journey toward Dracula’s castle. Play is linear and stage-based in the classic style: whip attacks, heart-powered sub-weapons, stairs and moving platforms, and bosses at the end of levels. Between stages a map presents branching routes, so different playthroughs pass through different areas on the way to the same destination. Along the route you can recruit companions, each swapped in as a playable character with distinct abilities, including magic attacks, wall climbing and bat transformation with a shorter-range strike. Only one partner travels with you at a time, and switching is done at will, which shapes how you approach obstacles. Difficulty is high, with precise jumps and knockback.
