Donkey Kong Classics – NES Game

Donkey Kong Classics is a single NES cartridge containing two arcade conversions: Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. In Donkey Kong you control Mario, climbing girders and ladders while dodging barrels and fireballs to reach Donkey Kong at the top, with a hammer power-up for temporary offence and rivet stages that bring the structure down. Donkey Kong Jr. reverses the roles: you play as Donkey Kong’s son, climbing vines and chains to reach the caged Donkey Kong while Mario sends snapping jaws and other creatures after you. Both games are single-screen, score-driven and loop with increasing speed, and both support two players taking alternating turns. The titles are selected from a menu when the cartridge boots.
