Drakkhen – SNES Game

Drakkhen is a fantasy role-playing game for the Super Nintendo, converted from a home computer original. You control a party of four adventurers who travel across an open landscape rendered in a distinctive pseudo-3D view, with a horizon line and scaling terrain rather than a tile map. Time passes as you walk, and the shift between day and night changes which creatures you meet. Combat happens in real time when enemies appear, with characters attacking or casting spells while you switch between them, and you can also enter buildings and dungeons where the view changes to interior rooms. Character statistics, equipment and spells are managed through menu screens. Exploration is largely unguided, with the party crossing the world in search of the eight dragon princes’ domains.
