Judge Dredd – SNES Game

Judge Dredd for the Super Nintendo is a side-scrolling action game drawn from the 2000 AD character and his big-screen appearance. You play as Dredd, moving through Mega-City One and its surroundings with the Lawgiver pistol, which can switch between ammunition types for different situations. Perps can be shot outright or arrested once subdued, and levels are built as multi-tiered environments with platforms, lifts and hidden routes rather than simple straight corridors. Sections are punctuated by boss encounters, and the sprite work leans on the comic’s heavy armour and grim city architecture. Play centres on managing ammunition, choosing between lethal and non-lethal handling of criminals, and finding your way through each stage to its exit.
