Marble Madness – Gameboy Color Game

A handheld version of the isometric marble game, presented in color on Game Boy Color hardware. You guide a marble down a series of sloped, three-dimensional-looking courses, steering it toward the goal before the timer expires. Time carries over between stages, so finishing quickly leaves you more room to work with later. The courses are lined with edges to roll off, narrow paths, ramps and hazards that can destroy the marble, and momentum matters as much as direction since the marble keeps rolling after you let go of the controls. Progress depends on learning each course layout and finding lines that avoid falls. The scale of the play area is reduced compared to arcade displays, so reading upcoming terrain is part of the challenge.
