Plok – SNES Game

Plok is a side-scrolling platformer for the Super Nintendo starring a red and yellow character who fights by detaching and firing his own limbs as projectiles. Arms and legs travel out, connect with enemies and return, and losing a limb temporarily changes how you move and attack, so managing which parts you throw becomes part of the challenge. Plok’s home island is overrun by fleas, and the search for them takes him through varied stages with hidden areas, collectibles and boss encounters. Some sections hand him powerful vehicles and equipment that alter his attacks entirely. The game uses bright, heavily stylised sprite art and a memorable soundtrack, and it leans toward the demanding end of the genre, with levels that expect precise jumping and careful use of your limited limbs.
