Superman – NES Game

Superman for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an action game based on the DC Comics hero. You move through city streets and other locations in a side-scrolling view, fighting enemies and working toward confronting Lex Luthor. The game mixes straightforward action with light adventure elements: you can switch between Clark Kent and Superman, enter buildings, talk to characters and collect items, and Superman’s abilities are tied to a meter that depletes as you use them, so powers such as flight and super strength must be managed rather than spammed. Enemies appear on the street as you travel between objectives, and defeating them helps build your character up. The presentation uses the NES’s blocky sprite work, with an overhead-style city view for moving between locations and side-view stages for combat.
