Tom and Jerry – NES Game

Tom and Jerry on the NES is a side-scrolling platformer in which you control Jerry the mouse. Tom chases you through a house and other locations, and the goal of each stage is to reach the end while avoiding him and the other hazards along the way. Jerry can run, jump and duck, and he carries a weapon used to stun approaching enemies such as insects and other small creatures that block the route. Stages are built around household environments, with platforms, gaps and moving obstacles, and each ends with a section where Tom is a more direct threat. Items scattered through the levels restore health and add points. The presentation uses bright cartoon-styled sprites and simple, direct platforming controls.
