WWF Royal Rumble – SNES Game

WWF Royal Rumble on the Super Nintendo is a wrestling game featuring World Wrestling Federation performers rendered as digitized sprites. Matches take place from a side view, with a moveset covering punches and kicks, grapples, irish whips into the ropes, top-rope attacks and pin attempts, plus a signature finisher for each wrestler. The headline mode is the Royal Rumble match, where competitors enter at timed intervals and eliminations come by throwing an opponent over the top rope. Singles, tag team and elimination-style multi-man matches are also included. The SNES version supports additional players through a multitap accessory, allowing several people to take part in the larger matches at once. Presentation includes wrestler entrances and arena backdrops modelled on the television broadcasts of the era.
