Alf – Sega Master System Game

ALF for the Sega Master System is an action game based on the television sitcom about a wisecracking alien living with a suburban family. You control ALF as he explores connected areas, moving between screens, avoiding or dealing with hazards and gathering items needed to progress. Play mixes light exploration with platform-style movement, and progress depends on working out where collected objects should be used rather than on combat alone. The presentation draws on the show’s characters and setting, with ALF himself as the central sprite. As with many Master System titles of its era, there is little in the way of hand-holding, so mapping the layout and remembering item locations is part of the experience. It plays on Master System and Master System II hardware.
